The Escale à Port-Vendres festival is famous for hosting legendary vessels. For the 2026 edition, from April 17th to 20th, several ambassadors of the sea are expected at the department's only deep-water port. The prestigious French three-masted barque Le Belem, a historical monument from 1896, will undoubtedly be the star of the show. Alongside it, you can admire La Vera Cruz, a faithful replica of 15th-century caravels, as well as the magnificent schooner Le Phoenix, famous for its appearances in cinema.
